Inspection of Navi Mumbai International Airport
Today, Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Jeet Adani from the Adani Group, visited the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) to evaluate the ongoing construction efforts. During their visit, they convened a meeting with senior officials to discuss the project's various aspects in detail.
Significant Progress Reported
CM Fadnavis announced, "We are here to assess the advancement of D.B. Patil Navi Mumbai International Airport, where 94% of the work has been completed. This facility is set to become the most advanced airport in India."
Future of Air Travel in India

According to an official announcement, the Navi Mumbai Airport is poised to become a key international air traffic hub in the country. With cutting-edge facilities and a world-class passenger experience, it aims to enhance India's global aviation connectivity.
Project Phases and Capacity
The development of this project is divided into multiple phases. Initially, NMIA will accommodate 20 million passengers and handle 0.5 million metric tons of cargo annually. Upon completion, its capacity is expected to rise to 90 million passengers and 3.2 million metric tons of cargo.
Advanced Infrastructure
A 3,700-meter runway is under construction, designed to support the landing and takeoff of large aircraft. The project incorporates the latest technology and adheres to stringent safety standards.
Adani Group's Involvement
The development is spearheaded by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited, established in 2019. This company plays a crucial role in managing several major airports across the nation.
Once operational, the airport is expected to significantly boost the aviation capacity in the Mumbai region, enhancing passenger services and invigorating the local industry.
