The state government is also working to ensure that most fishing boats are equipped with transponders, allowing for better tracking of their locations.

Authorities have identified two specific areas near the Palghar coast, located north of Mumbai, where fishermen typically gather. Fishermen have been advised to avoid congregating in these locations.

Additionally, officials have requested that fishermen assist the Navy by reporting any suspicious activities they observe at sea.
