Statewide Celebrations for Ambedkar Jayanti
Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that events will be held across all district headquarters in honor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's birth anniversary. The celebrations will commence on April 8 and continue until April 14, with a major state-level event scheduled at the Bhind district headquarters. This announcement was made by CM Yadav during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, where he also emphasized that programs will be organized at the block level. He instructed the respective ministers to prepare detailed plans for their districts and ensure smooth coordination.
Social Harmony Programs Planned
In addition, CM Yadav stated that social harmony programs will be conducted throughout the state until March 31, 2027, in celebration of Sant Ravidas Jayanti. He mentioned that the framework for these initiatives will be developed at the district level, and ministers will be tasked with ensuring their effective implementation. Highlighting recent developments, he noted that the past week was significant for Madhya Pradesh, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved several four-lane road projects in the state.
Infrastructure Projects to Boost Economy
Among the approved projects is a 22-kilometer Tiger Corridor on NH-46, estimated to cost ₹758 crore, and a 15.6-kilometer southern bypass connecting Niwari in Madhya Pradesh to Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. A link road connecting the Bangay Khas-Orchha Tigela section with NH-44 and NH-39 has also received approval. CM Yadav expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for their support, stating that these infrastructure projects will enhance trade, economic activities, and tourism in the state.
International Conference Highlights
Furthermore, he shared insights about the recent international conference 'Mahakal: Master of Time' held in Ujjain, where renowned astronomers and scientists discussed the scientific basis and historical significance of Indian timekeeping systems. He noted that Ujjain has historically been a center for time measurement, and efforts are ongoing to restore its global recognition.
