Introduction to the Jan Vishwas Campaign

Bhopal, July 28 - The Madhya Pradesh government is set to initiate the Jan Vishwas campaign starting August 7. Under this initiative, ministers, public representatives, and administrative officials will visit villages and urban wards every Friday to engage directly with citizens, listen to their concerns, and review the implementation of government schemes on the ground.

Objectives and Structure of the Campaign

This decision was made during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday. Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh explained that the campaign aims to bring the government closer to the people while enhancing administrative accountability and transparency.

Singh stated, “The government has decided to launch the Jan Vishwas campaign to ensure quick resolution of public issues and effective implementation of government schemes.” According to the cabinet's decision, instead of holding large regular meetings at the ministry, district, and division levels, ministers, public representatives, and officials will directly communicate with people in their respective areas.

Reviewing Progress and Addressing Issues

During the campaign, the progress of various departmental schemes will be assessed to ensure timely benefits reach eligible beneficiaries. Officials will listen to the concerns of people in both rural and urban areas and will aim to resolve issues on-site whenever possible.

For matters that cannot be resolved immediately, a timeline for action will be established. The Public Works Minister emphasized that the Jan Vishwas campaign is a significant step towards good governance, fostering direct communication between the government and the public, and ensuring transparency in scheme implementation.

Commitment to Integrity and Simplicity

Singh mentioned that the campaign will commence in the districts managed by the ministers. He also warned that any instances of corruption, irregularities, or negligence at any level during the campaign will lead to strict action against the involved officials and staff.

The core principles of the campaign will be dialogue, solutions, sensitivity, and simplicity. Singh noted that no additional budget has been allocated for this initiative, and unnecessary extravagance will be avoided.
