The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Sections 80(2), 85, and 3(5), naming Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, and Giribala Singh. Additionally, the police have announced a cash reward of ₹30,000 for information leading to Samarth Singh's arrest and have sought a court order to revoke his passport.
Family Raises Concerns Over Phone Calls
Earlier in the day, Twisha Sharma's family questioned the alleged phone calls made by retired judge Giribala Singh. Singh is accused in a dowry harassment case and reportedly contacted several influential individuals shortly after Twisha's death. The family is demanding an independent and fair investigation into the matter. In a statement released by Twisha's father, Nav Nidhi Sharma, the family expressed that they were unaware of the individuals Giribala Singh allegedly contacted after the incident, learning about them only through court documents and media reports.

Twisha Sharma's lawyer has released a list of mobile numbers that includes names of individuals Giribala Singh allegedly contacted following Twisha's death. The family claims that several influential figures, including IAS and IPS officers, judges, doctors, and lawyers, were contacted after the incident. The press note states, "This alleged list includes Justice Manoj Kumar (ADJ), Justice Satyendra Kumar Singh (Lokayukt), AK Mishra (District Judge), individuals associated with CCTV maintenance (including Rohit Vishwakarma and Vinod Vani), lawyer Venosh Carlo, Dr. Rajbala Bahudoria, Siyabala Baghel, Pramod Jhariya, Dr. Yashveer, Pankaj Kushwaha, Ajay Singh, Manoj Kumar, and others."
Family's Concerns Over CCTV Contacts
The family has expressed concern regarding the alleged contacts with individuals linked to CCTV systems and electronic evidence. They emphasized that CCTV footage and digital records are crucial in any suspicious death investigation. The note stated, "CCTV footage and digital records are vital pieces of evidence in any suspicious death investigation. Therefore, the family believes that the purpose, timing, and context of each of these contacts should be independently verified through forensic and investigative processes."
