Government's Initiative to Address Farmers' Concerns
In response to ongoing protests by farmers regarding the procurement and cultivation of moong, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Wednesday that the state government has established a committee to engage in dialogue with the farmers and address their concerns. CM Yadav urged the demonstrators to ensure that the general public does not face any inconvenience. He emphasized that the state is celebrating this year as the "Agriculture Welfare Year" and is implementing various schemes for the benefit of farmers.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is celebrating the 'Agriculture Welfare Year' across Madhya Pradesh and is undertaking numerous initiatives for the benefit of farmers. A committee has been formed to discuss issues related to farmers. Yesterday, we sent the state's Agriculture Minister, Adal Singh Kanchana, and today our team, which includes Agriculture Minister Kanchana, Minister Krishna Gaur, Minister Vishwas Sarang, Minister Rakesh Singh, and senior officials, will engage in discussions with the farmers.
He reiterated the government's commitment to resolving farmers' concerns through constructive dialogue. CM Yadav encouraged farmers to engage in discussions, stating that the government has always stood by them and welcomes their positive suggestions. Both parties should ensure that the public is not inconvenienced. We believe that solutions can emerge from dialogue. We hope that all farmer organizations, including the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh and others, will work together to prioritize public welfare, which will inevitably lead to the welfare of farmers as well.
Additionally, the Chief Minister extended greetings on Guru Purnima and mentioned that the state government has recently inaugurated all new Sandipani schools named after Maharishi Sandipani. He noted that in the past 15 days, all Sandipani schools established in the state have been inaugurated. Our government is investing nearly ₹25,000 crores in these schools in various phases. They are set to become some of the best schools in the country and will be a significant gift for school education in Madhya Pradesh.
