CM Mohan Yadav's Remarks on Congress
Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, targeted the Congress party on Saturday, asserting that the opposition's role is to oppose. He raised concerns about Congress's apparent disinterest in the recent Bharat Guarantee Bill (Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)), questioning their attitude towards Lord Ram. Yadav emphasized that the original employment guarantee scheme was initiated as NREGA (National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) and later incorporated Mahatma Gandhi's name in the context of elections.

The Chief Minister stated that while the opposition's job is to resist, their focus is on delivering results. He reiterated that the scheme was originally launched under the name NREGA, with Mahatma Gandhi's name added later for electoral purposes. Yadav expressed confusion over Congress's apparent disdain for Lord Ram, questioning what grievances they hold. He noted that the opposition had previously obstructed the construction of the Ram temple, citing their absence during the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
Yadav further pointed out that even after the temple's construction in Ayodhya, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi have yet to visit the site. This raises questions about Congress's ongoing discontent with Lord Ram. Earlier on Friday, Parliament passed the VB-G Ram Ji Bill, which received approval from the Rajya Sabha following the Lok Sabha's endorsement. Opposition members staged a walkout from the Rajya Sabha, demanding that the bill be referred to a select committee before passage.
