Madhya Pradesh CM Announces Metro Train and Park Inauguration by PM Modi
Inauguration Plans for Metro and Park
On Friday, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed to inaugurate the Bhopal Metro train service and lay the foundation stone for the PM Mitra Park in Dhar district.
Speaking to reporters in the assembly complex during the monsoon session, Yadav criticized the Congress party's protests regarding the alleged shortage of fertilizers. He stated, 'I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Thursday. The Prime Minister has given his consent for the inauguration of the Bhopal Metro train and the foundation stone of the PM Mitra Park, which will create over one lakh jobs. He will soon inform us of the dates for these events.'
Criticism of Congress Protests
When asked about the Congress protests concerning fertilizers, Yadav remarked that the opposition party has adopted a contradictory stance on the issue. He added, 'During Congress's rule, farmers faced chaos, and everyone is aware of the black marketing that occurred at that time. Despite global challenges and import issues, the Prime Minister has made every possible arrangement to provide fertilizers. The public will not face any difficulties regarding this matter.'
Congress Protests in Assembly
Earlier in the day, the Congress legislative party staged a protest in the assembly complex, claiming that the state is facing a deepening fertilizer crisis that is troubling farmers. Led by opposition leader Umang Singhar, Congress members brought empty fertilizer bags and symbolic bottles of nano fertilizers to the assembly. They also chanted slogans condemning the government's anti-farmer policies.
Singhar accused the state government of ignoring the plight of millions of farmers who are queuing for fertilizers, asserting that adequate supplies are not reaching farmers during the monsoon season.
