Lovlina Borgohain, the Indian boxer and gold medalist at the 2026 Asian Games, expressed her sorrow over the passing of renowned actor Nana Patekar, who passed away at the age of 75 on Thursday. Patekar succumbed to a severe cardiac arrest in Goa, and despite efforts by medical staff at Manipal Hospital to revive him for approximately 45 minutes, he could not be saved.

Dr. Shekhar Salkar, the Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, confirmed the news. He revealed that Patekar had sent a message to a friend around 2:30 AM indicating he was unwell. The friend arrived at his residence by 4 AM.
