Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain has expressed her determination after advancing to the women's 75kg final at the Commonwealth Games 2026. She acknowledged that the upcoming challenge will be more demanding but is committed to giving her utmost effort to secure the gold medal. Lovlina attributed her success to her rigorous preparation and the invaluable guidance from her coaches, which have positioned her well for this moment.
Borgohain reached the final in Glasgow, Scotland, by achieving a unanimous 5-0 victory over Tarona Taafaki from Tuvalu. "Having qualified for the finals, I know it will be a tougher battle. I will strive to win gold this time... Our training has been effective, and we are following our coaches' instructions closely, so I believe we can achieve gold," Borgohain stated.

Indian boxer Sachin Siwach conveyed his confidence after reaching the men's 60kg final at the Commonwealth Games 2026, stating he felt assured of victory from the outset. He credited his success to adhering to his coaches' guidance, which proved effective during his bouts. Siwach emphasized that preparations for the final are progressing well, with the team analyzing his opponent's style and strategizing accordingly.
"Preparations for the final are going very well; we are already discussing how to tackle the opponent based on their specific style... I was confident from the beginning that I would win; I followed the instructions given to me, and they worked well," Siwach explained. In the semifinal, he delivered a strong performance against Owain Harris-Allan from Wales, securing his place in the gold medal match.
