Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha also passed the 'Vande Mataram Bill' amidst a walkout by the opposition.

Additionally, the government introduced a bill to amend the law concerning the registration of births and deaths. Home State Minister Nityanand Rai presented the Birth and Death Registration (Amendment) Bill, 2026 amidst the opposition's uproar.

In the Rajya Sabha, Home State Minister Nityanand Rai accused the Congress of promoting appeasement policies that oppose the national anthem. He stated that opposing 'Vande Mataram' boosts the morale of groups advocating for the disintegration of India. This remark was made in response to discussions on the National Honor (Prevention of Insult) Amendment Bill, 2026, which was subsequently passed by voice vote.

During zero hour, amidst opposition disruptions, several members raised issues concerning traffic jams, the condition of playgrounds in government schools, and the installation of solar power plants on vacant lands, urging the government to address these concerns.
