Administrative Actions Taken

Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal has removed Deputy Commissioner (Western) Dinesh Chandra Tripathi from his position due to alleged negligence and manipulation of facts. Additionally, Vikram Singh, the station chief of Sachendi, has been suspended.


Details of the Crime

According to police reports, the girl was forcibly taken into a car around 10 PM on Monday night in the Sachendi area. She was then transported to a secluded location near a railway track, where she endured two hours of gang rape before being left unconscious outside her home.


Investigation Progress

Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal informed reporters that based on the victim's statement, both the officer Amit Kumar Maurya and YouTuber Shivbaran Yadav have been named in the case. Yadav has been apprehended, while four teams have been formed to locate the fugitive officer. The vehicle used in the crime, registered to officer Maurya, has been seized. Investigations revealed that despite being stationed at the Bithoor police station, he was present in Sachendi at the time of the incident.


Family's Allegations Against Police

The victim's family has accused the local police of attempting to suppress the case. They claim that when they mentioned a police officer's involvement, they were dismissed. The girl's brother reported that the police confiscated her mobile phone and did not allow her to return home until her statement was recorded in court.


Further Investigative Measures

Commissioner Lal stated that Vikram Singh was suspended for failing to act under the POCSO Act and for misrepresenting facts in the case records. The investigation has been assigned to Additional Police Commissioner (Western) Kapil Dev Singh.


Political Response

Former Member of Parliament Subhashini Ali from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) met with Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal to discuss rising crimes against women in the state. Lal assured that the investigation would be conducted with complete transparency and that strict action would be taken against all offenders.
