Aditi Thakur, a student from Government College Chamba and a resident of Khani Panchayat in the tribal area of Bharmour, has made her community proud by securing the esteemed “Best Speaker” award at the World Youth Parliament 2026.


This global event, hosted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bengaluru, Karnataka, saw participation from delegates of nearly 30 countries alongside students from various parts of India. Aditi distinguished herself with her articulate speech, clarity, and compelling presentation amidst a diverse audience.


Her accomplishment has ignited celebrations in both Bharmour and Chamba, with local leaders and educators commending her success. Krishna Pakhretia, the President of the Himachal School Lecturer Association (Bharmour), offered warm congratulations, while social worker and speaker Jagpal Chauhan expressed his happiness and wished her continued success.
