LJP MP Condemns Offensive Comments
During a public gathering in Hardoi, Shambhavi Chaudhary, a Member of Parliament from the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), strongly criticized Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Yadunandan Lal for allegedly making disrespectful remarks about Lord Ram. She condemned the opposition's actions, stating that such behavior reflects a lack of decorum and cultural respect. Chaudhary emphasized that insulting Lord Ram is not a form of protest but rather an affront to governance values. She called for action against those who engage in such disrespect.
Comments Spark Controversy
In a conversation with a news agency, she remarked that the opposition has forgotten its dignity and cultural values during protests. Chaudhary noted that the comments made about Lord Ram suggest that they are opposing our beliefs by disrespecting him, failing to realize that invoking Lord Ram or the concept of Ram Rajya is not merely a ritual but a commitment to governance. She insisted that repeated acts of disrespect should be met with consequences.
SP Leader's Remarks Under Fire
These statements followed a public meeting in Hardoi, where SP's state secretary Yadunandan Lal reportedly made derogatory comments about Lord Ram and Mother Kaushalya, using offensive language concerning Lord Ram's birth. Central Minister SP Singh Baghel condemned Lal's remarks, labeling them as extremely unfortunate and accusing the Samajwadi Party of engaging in appeasement politics against Sanatan and Hindutva. He stated, 'This is a very unfortunate statement. It is a conspiracy by the SP against Sanatan and Hindutva... they are indulging in appeasement politics.'
SP MP Clarifies Party Stance
SP MP Anand Bhadauria also denounced these comments, clarifying that Lal does not hold any position within the party. Bhadauria stated, 'He does not hold any position in the Samajwadi Party... we condemn his statement... we uphold the ideals of Lord Ram.'
