Light Rainfall Hits Parts of National Capital with Yellow Alert Issued

On Saturday afternoon, light rain was reported in various areas of the national capital. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'Yellow' alert for the day, as confirmed by an official.
Rainfall was observed in regions including South Delhi, Southeast Delhi, and parts of West Delhi.
According to the IMD, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in areas such as Rajouri Garden, Patel Nagar, Buddha Jayanti Park, Dwarka, Rohini, Malviya Nagar, Hauz Khas, Delhi Cantonment, Palam, Lodhi Road, Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi International Airport, Defence Colony, Lajpat Nagar, IGNOU, Ayanagar, Deramandi, and across the entire National Capital Region, with wind speeds reaching 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.
The city has been placed under a 'Yellow' alert, indicating residents should remain cautious.
Temperature and Air Quality Insights
Meanwhile, the IMD reported that the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius, which is one degree below the normal level, while the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius.
As per data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 9 AM on Saturday was noted at 82, falling within the 'satisfactory' category.
