Weather Conditions in the National Capital

On Saturday, parts of the national capital experienced light rain and drizzle, accompanied by overcast skies throughout the day. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued warnings for thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 km/h.


The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius, which is 3.5 degrees below the normal range. According to the IMD, the minimum temperature was noted at 25.8 degrees Celsius, falling short of the average by 0.7 degrees.


Looking ahead, the IMD forecasts thunderstorms and rain for Sunday, with expected maximum and minimum temperatures around 38 degrees and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively. The relative humidity was recorded at 65 percent.


Data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) indicated that the Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 186 by 4 PM on Saturday, categorizing it as 'moderate.'
