Court Delivers Justice in Gang Rape Case

A court in the Godda district of Jharkhand has sentenced three individuals to life imprisonment for their involvement in the gang rape of a minor girl. The special judge for POCSO cases, District Judge Kumar Pawan, imposed the life sentences on Kundan Kumar Pasi, Mohammad Rashid, and Mohammad Jageer, along with a fine of ₹50,000 each.


According to the FIR filed in November 2024, the 16-year-old girl was returning home from a fair when two of the accused intercepted her near a bridge and dragged her into a nearby field. They subsequently called a third accomplice to join them.


The three men took turns committing this heinous act. After the incident, the victim confided in her parents, leading to the filing of a police report. Based on the evidence presented, the court found all three defendants guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
