Muzaffarnagar Court Delivers Justice

A special court in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, has sentenced two individuals to life imprisonment for their involvement in the gang rape of a minor girl that occurred nearly two years ago. The court also imposed a fine on the convicts.


According to special public prosecutor Vikrant Rathi, Judge Alka Bharti of the special POCSO court found the two accused, Ravinder and Kapil, guilty of gang raping the 16-year-old girl.


The court not only sentenced them to life imprisonment but also levied a fine of ₹10,000 each. Rathi informed that the victim was washing clothes when the two accused approached her.


Ravinder and Kapil then took her to a nearby sugarcane field where they committed the crime. The police reported that this incident took place in a village within the jurisdiction of Shahpur police station on September 18, 2023. Following the incident, a case was registered, and after completing the investigation, the police submitted the charge sheet to the court, which has now concluded the hearing and delivered the sentence.
