Incident at Jantar Mantar Leads to Legal Proceedings

A young woman has been charged following a protest organized by the Cockroach People's Party (CAZPA) at Jantar Mantar, where she allegedly made disrespectful remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This information was confirmed by police on Thursday.

According to authorities, a zero FIR was filed at the Expressway police station in Noida based on a complaint from Smriti Singh, a lawyer residing in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad. The FIR was registered under sections 352, 353(1), and 356(1) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The case has been forwarded to the Delhi police for further investigation, as the incident occurred in Delhi. The complainant, Smriti Singh, stated that on July 23, she became aware of a protest at Jantar Mantar where a young woman publicly used offensive language against the Prime Minister. The complaint alleges that this behavior undermined the dignity of a constitutional position and posed a threat to public peace.

Police have identified the young woman as Ruchika Singh, a resident of the Lotus Zing Society in Sector 168, Noida. Inspector Amit Khari, in charge of the Expressway police station, mentioned that the zero FIR has been sent to the Delhi police for investigation. It has been reported that Ruchika is originally from Uncha Gaon in Faridabad district, Haryana, and operates a beauty parlor. She purchased an apartment in Noida earlier this year in January. The Delhi police will conduct the ongoing investigation into the matter.
