In Jhijhana, a town adjacent to Muzaffarnagar, a history-sheeter named Firoz Khan has been charged with threatening to commit suicide while chained and obstructing government operations. This information was confirmed by a senior official on Sunday.


Superintendent of Police Narendra Pratap Singh informed reporters that the police had initiated proceedings to seize Khan's assets under the Gangster Act. In this context, a video emerged on Saturday showing Khan threatening suicide inside his home, using chains to exert pressure on the police.


Singh further stated that a case has been registered against Firoz Khan, along with his relatives Umar Khan and a woman named Shobi, under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. He added that an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
