Launch of Swachh Manimahesh Campaign in Bharmour Promotes Environmental Awareness

Bharmour: The Swachh Manimahesh Abhiyan, designed to enhance environmental consciousness and cleanliness in the revered Manimahesh area, commenced with great enthusiasm on Tuesday. The campaign was officially inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner of Chamba, Mukesh Repeshwal, who flagged off the participating organizations from Zero Point near the Hadsar Manimahesh Main Gate.
In a notable display of support, ADM Bharmour Kulveer Singh Rana, SP Chamba Abhishek Yadav, Tehsildar Bharmour Tej Singh, along with officials from various departments of the Bharmour Sub-Division, attended the launch event. Local Panchayat representatives also took part, highlighting the grassroots engagement in this initiative.
The campaign aims to maintain cleanliness along the pilgrimage route to the sacred Manimahesh Lake, involving coordinated efforts from government bodies, volunteers, and civil society organizations. During the event, Deputy Commissioner Repeshwal stressed the spiritual and ecological importance of Manimahesh, encouraging all stakeholders to actively participate in preserving the area's natural beauty and sanctity.
He also pointed out that this initiative serves as a call for sustainable tourism and responsible pilgrimage practices. Reports from local sources indicate a strong collaborative spirit and commitment among participants.
