Inauguration of Rajsakhi Panch Gaurav Rath

Jaipur. The Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (Rajeevika) has launched the 'Rajsakhi Panch Gaurav Rath' to enhance market access for products made by rural self-help groups and to promote the Panch Gaurav program. The inauguration took place on Sunday in Durgapura, Jaipur, where District Collector Sandeep Nayak and CEO of the Jaipur District Council, Pratibha Verma, cut the ribbon to send off the Rath.

The Rajsakhi Panch Gaurav Rath aims to showcase, promote, and sell various local and indigenous products crafted by rural women and self-help groups associated with Rajeevika. The Rath will travel to several key locations in Jaipur, allowing urban consumers direct access to products made by rural women entrepreneurs.

This initiative primarily seeks to provide better market opportunities for rural women's products, enhance their income and livelihood prospects, and give local products a new identity. Additionally, the Panch Gaurav program will raise awareness among the public about the district's unique products and local specialties.

The Rath features handicrafts, decorative and utility items, food products, and other local goods created by rural women. By showcasing and selling these items at various locations in Jaipur, women from self-help groups will have the chance to connect directly with markets and customers.

During the event, Pushpendra Singh, District Manager of Aajeevika, Indira Sharma, CLF Manager, along with women from self-help groups linked to Rajeevika and other officials were present.

The 'Rajsakhi Panch Gaurav Rath' is a significant step towards encouraging rural women's entrepreneurship while promoting the 'Local for Vocal' initiative and indigenous products.
