In the Pakkatala area of Chamba, residents are experiencing heightened anxiety due to a landslide that has jeopardized the safety of homes located in the upper region, particularly near the Veterinary Hospital.

A group of local inhabitants, spearheaded by Chaugán Ward Councillor Khalid Mirza, presented a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal on Friday, emphasizing their concerns. They noted that while the shotcrete spraying project on the hill's front side is nearing completion, landslides have occurred at the back during the previous monsoon season, endangering the houses above.

The community members urged that shotcrete spraying be extended to the rear side of the hill to safeguard the upper homes. They also expressed their appreciation to Sadar MLA Neeraj Nayyar for his support in initiating the shotcrete work on the front side.

Deputy Commissioner Repswal assured the residents that their requests would be addressed promptly.
