Landslide Incident at Vaishno Devi Temple

On Monday, a landslide occurred on the new route to the Vaishno Devi Temple, located in the Trikuta hills of the Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the suspension of battery car services, as reported by officials.


Fortunately, no injuries were reported due to the landslide, which was triggered by heavy rainfall. Officials confirmed that the pilgrimage is currently being conducted via the old route without any interruptions.


The landslide took place near the 'Satya View Point' on the Himkoti route, but there were no pilgrims in the area at the time. The Shrine Board promptly deployed personnel and machinery to clear the debris, which spread over an area exceeding 30 feet.
