Missile and Drone Attack on Kyiv
In a recent overnight assault, at least ten individuals, including a child, sustained injuries due to a missile and drone strike by Russia on Kyiv, as reported by Ukraine's State Emergency Service.
The emergency service detailed that explosions and fires erupted in several districts of the capital, including Solomianskyi, Darnytskyi, and Dniprovskyi.
In the Solomianskyi area, a missile hit caused a fire in a three-story office and warehouse structure, while another warehouse in the Dniprovskyi district was also set ablaze.
According to Ukraine's Air Force, Russia launched a total of 10 missiles, comprising six ballistic types, alongside 121 drones during the attack. Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept or electronically neutralize two missiles and 111 drones.
The Air Force confirmed that ballistic missiles directly struck 11 sites, alongside two guided air-to-surface missiles and seven attack drones. Additionally, debris from intercepted projectiles fell in three other locations.
Russia's Defense Ministry claimed that the strikes were aimed at drone manufacturing facilities in Kyiv, as well as the ports of Izmail and Chornomorsk located in Ukraine's southern Odesa region.
Furthermore, the ministry stated that Russian air defenses successfully destroyed 178 Ukrainian drones overnight across eight Russian regions, including areas over the Crimean Peninsula and the Black and Azov seas.
