Bengaluru, August 3 - Comedian Kunal Kamra has decided to cancel his scheduled performance in Whitefield following significant protests from Hindu organizations. This information was confirmed by the police on Monday. According to police reports, Kamra visited the Whitefield police station on Sunday to inform officials about his decision to not proceed with the planned events.

A senior police official stated, 'He (Kamra) came to the station and informed us that he has chosen to cancel the event in Whitefield due to the protests from Hindu organization members.' This development occurred after the 'Hindu Rashtra Coordination Committee' recently submitted a memorandum to the Bengaluru police, requesting the cancellation of Kamra's show scheduled for August 3 at URU Whitefield. The committee expressed concerns about potential disturbances to law and order and communal harmony, claiming that Kamra had disrespected Hindu deities.

In response, Kamra announced via a post on the social media platform X that his shows on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will now take place at a different venue in Koramangala. He also mentioned that the ticketing platform 'BookMyShow' will refund tickets purchased for the Whitefield event. Additionally, he encouraged people to buy tickets for the Koramangala venue, which has limited seating capacity.
