Kolkata (West Bengal) witnessed a vibrant celebration of fitness on October 31, as over 1,000 participants gathered for the Kolkata Promo Run. This event was organized as a precursor to the highly anticipated Puri Coastal Marathon 2026, which is set to take place on December 13 in Puri, Odisha.

The 5K Promo Run, hosted at GD Ground in Salt Lake, Sector 3, attracted a diverse group of fitness lovers, including amateur runners and seasoned athletes. With more than 1,000 registrations, the event successfully promoted fitness and healthy living, according to an official release.

Event Details and Highlights

The day commenced with bib collection starting at 5:30 AM, followed by the official flag-off at 6:45 AM. Participants showcased their enthusiasm, turning the morning into a lively celebration of fitness and camaraderie.

Offering free registration, the event encouraged broad participation, making it accessible to running enthusiasts throughout the city. Attendees received hydration support, complimentary race photos, and a post-race breakfast. Additionally, the first 500 participants were awarded exclusive promotional T-shirts on a first-come, first-served basis.
