Batting at the number three position, the 36-year-old Pandey scored 45 runs off 33 deliveries, hitting six boundaries, which brought KKR closer to the modest target of 148 runs on a challenging pitch.

After being named Player of the Match, Pandey expressed his thoughts: "This was the only game I've actually batted in, as I was padded up and waiting to play, but didn't get the chance in the first four matches. He added, "Since I don't bowl, I take pleasure in fielding and aim to contribute through saving runs, taking spectacular catches, and executing run-outs. I take pride in being able to add value to the team in any way possible, and that motivates me to keep pushing forward."
