Under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane, KKR successfully chased down a target of 143 runs, achieving the win with eight wickets in hand and 34 balls remaining, largely due to Finn Allen's remarkable unbeaten century scored in just 47 balls. This victory significantly improved KKR's net run rate, elevating them to seventh place in the standings.

Cameron Green, who contributed an unbeaten 33 runs, lauded Allen's performance during the post-match press conference, stating, "Finn was exceptional today. He has consistently provided us with fantastic starts. That's precisely why we brought him into the team. I believe he ranks among the best in the world at applying pressure on the opposition."

"Once he reaches 30 or 40 runs, he becomes extremely difficult to dismiss as he continues to build momentum. I wasn't surprised by his performance tonight. Allen's innings included an impressive tally of 10 sixes and five fours, culminating in his first IPL century, which effectively sealed the game for KKR. He hit the winning six, completing his century with that boundary.

KKR's journey in IPL 2026 began with six consecutive losses, but they have since made a remarkable comeback, securing four consecutive wins.

Green, who was acquired for Rs 25.20 crore during the auction, faced scrutiny for not bowling in the early matches. However, he later began bowling and has also contributed significantly with the bat. In his third IPL season and first with KKR, Green has amassed 232 runs and taken four wickets.

Discussing the team's morale, Green remarked, "I never felt that our belief was lost. We maintained a positive culture throughout the tournament. Even before our first win, several players noted that it didn't feel like we had lost every match due to the upbeat atmosphere. This is a testament to the players and support staff for keeping spirits high, especially in such a competitive environment. Losing those games was tough, but we fought hard to turn things around, and our bowlers have been exceptional throughout the tournament."
