Job Fair in Nagaland: A Step Towards Empowering Youth

On Saturday, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju distributed more than 100 appointment letters to young individuals during a job fair held in Dimapur, Nagaland.


After participating in the event, Rijiju shared on social media, stating, “107 appointment letters were handed out personally, and an additional 239 were sent via email, thanks to the Lumding Division of the Northeast Frontier Railway.”


He emphasized that the job fair is not merely about recruitment but is also a significant contribution to nation-building. Rijiju encouraged all newly appointed individuals to move forward with pride, noting, “Your journey is crucial for the development of a prosperous India.”


Addressing the attendees, Rijiju announced that over 51,000 appointment letters are being issued nationwide across various government sectors, including railways, postal services, banking, education, labor and employment, and the Ministry of Home Affairs.


He remarked that the job fair reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for youth empowerment and rapid recruitment.


Rijiju pointed out that previously, recruitment processes could take five to seven years. Now, job fairs are organized every three to four months to fill approved positions without delay.


He urged the newly appointed officials to view their roles as part of nation-building, stating, “Whether you are in public service or in uniform, you are serving the country. Every role contributes to a self-reliant India.”
