KIA Seltos Facelift: New Design and Engine Options Spotted

KIA's Latest Launch and Future Plans
KIA has recently captured attention with the introduction of the all-new KIA Carens Clavis. Following this launch, the brand appears to be gearing up for another significant release, the KIA Seltos facelift. The vehicle was recently spotted by Shorts Car, albeit heavily camouflaged, revealing glimpses of its front design. According to observers, this new model is expected to offer a more luxurious experience compared to the current Seltos, incorporating design elements inspired by the upscale Telluride.
Highlights of the Exterior Changes
The redesigned Seltos showcases styling cues reminiscent of the EV9 and Syros. It maintains the classic SUV aesthetic while appearing slightly longer than its predecessor. Notable design features include a concave grille positioned between the headlights and horizontal slats in the front bumper, which differ from previous models. The rear of the vehicle is also set to receive new design elements, including a continuous bar light, consistent with KIA's design philosophy.
Interior Redesign and Features
In addition to exterior modifications, the Seltos is expected to undergo a comprehensive interior redesign. The dashboard and cabin will likely incorporate styling elements from higher-end KIA models, enhancing the overall luxury feel.
Engine and Powertrain Options for the KIA Seltos
The facelifted Seltos will reportedly retain the engine options available in the current model. This includes a 115Hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 160Hp 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and a 116Hp 1.5-liter diesel engine. Additionally, KIA India may introduce a new hybrid powertrain, potentially electrifying the 1.5-liter NA petrol engine, which could also be utilized in the upcoming three-row variant. With Hyundai's upcoming changes, a variety of new engine options and hybrid systems are anticipated, and KIA may adopt some of these for its future models.
