CRPF Opens Open-Air Gym in Chanderkot
Earlier this month, the 84th Battalion of the CRPF inaugurated an open-air gym at its tactical headquarters in Chanderkot, as announced by Commandant Ranbir Singh on Friday.
During the inauguration, the Commandant remarked that the facility was launched on the year's first day, symbolizing renewed vigor and dedication. He recalled the extensive flood damage the area experienced last August, which prompted the 84th Battalion to collaborate on rebuilding efforts.
Commandant Ranbir Singh stated, "Today marks the first day of the year, and to kick things off positively, we inaugurated an open-air gym at our tactical headquarters in Chanderkot. The site suffered significant flood damage last August, but our team has worked hard to restore it. The nearby Chenab River adds to the pleasant atmosphere here."
He further emphasized, "The 84th Battalion team has successfully rebuilt this area after the floods, and the proximity of the Chenab River contributes to a refreshing environment."
The newly established open-air gym aims to promote fitness and well-being among CRPF personnel. Officials noted that this initiative underscores the force's commitment to maintaining morale, health, and resilience, even in challenging conditions.
