Arrest of Inderjeet Singh Gosal

On September 22, Canadian law enforcement apprehended 36-year-old Inderjeet Singh Gosal, a Khalistani terrorist, on various charges including illegal possession of firearms. Gosal, who is closely associated with the designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, has been identified as the main organizer of the banned group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). Following the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, he assumed leadership of the US-based Khalistani organization.

The Peel Police arrested Gosal along with two accomplices while they were en route from Brampton to Ottawa. All three are anticipated to face formal charges and potential imprisonment. This arrest follows a recent agreement between India and Canada to foster a 'new chapter' in their bilateral relations.

Background of Inderjeet Singh Gosal

Inderjeet Singh Gosal, a Brampton resident, was previously arrested for an assault at a Hindu temple in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) last year, but was later released under specific conditions by the Peel Regional Police. He is reportedly connected to Babbar Khalsa International, a recognized terrorist organization.

Gosal has been actively involved in the Khalistan referendum initiative and is often described as the personal security detail for SFJ leader Pannu during his visits to Canada. He has also played a significant role in inciting violence at Indian consulate locations in Canada.

According to Canadian authorities, Gosal is one of 13 Canadian citizens linked to criminal activities targeting pro-Khalistan factions. He expressed to a Canadian news outlet, "Due to my role as the organizer of the Khalistan referendum, I face a serious threat to my life from agents and proxies of the Indian government, but I must persist."
