In a thrilling finish at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course in Bengaluru, Keya Kumar Badugu from Delhi secured the Ladies title at the IGU Bio-Gen Rotary Southern India Golf Championship for Ladies and Junior Girls. She triumphed over Kolkata's Anaahat Bindra in a playoff after both players ended the tournament tied at one-under-par 215 following 54 holes. Keya's rounds included scores of 73, 71, and 71, while Anaahat recorded 70, 72, and 73.


Strong Competition Throughout

The championship unfolded over three days, showcasing a fierce competition between the top two golfers. Anaahat started strong, leading the first round with a two-under-par 70, three strokes ahead of Keya. She maintained her lead after the second round with an even-par 72, while Keya closed the gap with a one-under-par 71, trailing by two strokes heading into the final round.

Keya, initially two-over-par after 14 holes, made a remarkable comeback by scoring three consecutive birdies on the 15th, 16th, and 17th holes, finishing the round at one-under-par.
