Lucknow, August 2 - The Leader of the Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Mata Prasad Pandey, announced on Sunday that the upcoming monsoon session of the legislature, commencing on Monday, will address several public interest issues, including the theft of donations for the Ram Temple. The monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh legislature, which includes both the Assembly and the Council, is set to begin on August 3.

During a press conference following an all-party meeting, Pandey stated, “We will discuss various topics such as education, inflation, unemployment, and the theft of donations related to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.” He also emphasized that matters concerning farmers and agriculture will be raised in the assembly.

Furthermore, the issue of school closures will also be a point of discussion. It is noteworthy that on July 21, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved the proposal to convene the third session of the state legislature for the year 2026 starting from August 3. This session will include discussions on the supplementary budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 and other legislative matters.
