Kerala High Court's SIT Files FIR Over Alleged Irregularities in Ghee Procurement at Sabarimala Temple

Investigation Launched into Ghee Procurement at Sabarimala

Thiruvananthapuram, August 6 - A special investigation team (SIT) established by the Kerala High Court has initiated an inquiry into alleged irregularities concerning the purchase and supply of Milma ghee at the Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple. Officials have confirmed this development.


According to sources within the SIT, the FIR names several individuals, including former president of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) P.S. Prashanth, former board member A. Ajikumar, and ex-administrative officer Murari Babu.


It is noteworthy that Murari Babu passed away in June of this year. Officials indicated that the alleged decision to procure ghee at a lower price was made during the tenure of these individuals. The FIR has been submitted to the vigilance court located in Kollam.
