BJP's Stance on Iran-Israel Conflict

On Wednesday, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the President of the Kerala BJP, condemned both the Congress and the CPM for their one-sided criticism of the United States and Israel regarding the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. He accused these parties of remaining silent about the dangers posed to Malayalis living in Gulf countries due to Iran's actions. Speaking to reporters, Chandrasekhar pointed out that while the CPM and Congress focus solely on denouncing the U.S. and Israel, they completely overlook the threats and risks faced by our Malayali brothers and sisters from Iranian attacks in the Gulf region.

Chandrasekhar emphasized that both Congress and CPM engage in similar political tactics and share the same ideology, despite pretending to be different. He noted their consistent support for violent Islamic states and organizations, such as Jamaat-e-Islami and Iran, while curiously remaining silent about the Gulf nations like Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, where millions of Malayalis reside and contribute significantly to the economy.

He further criticized Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for speaking out about Gaza but ignoring the plight of thousands of Christians killed in Nigeria or the ongoing Christian genocide in Syria. Chandrasekhar remarked that while Priyanka Gandhi addresses issues in Gaza, she fails to mention the atrocities faced by Christians elsewhere. He also pointed out that Pinarayi Vijayan, who travels to the U.S. for medical treatment instead of using government hospitals, criticizes the U.S. and Israel but remains silent on the murders of Hindus by Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh and the threats to countless Malayalis in the GCC.

Escalation of Conflict in West Asia

The conflict in West Asia has entered its fifth day following attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran, resulting in the deaths of key figures, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Reports from Israeli media indicate that Khamenei's son, Mojtaba, has been chosen as his successor and is expected to take over the leadership role. Senior Israeli officials have informed a news outlet that an official announcement regarding Mojtaba Khamenei's succession is likely to be made in the coming hours. However, there has been no independent confirmation from Iranian state media regarding this development.
