Kendra and Joseph Duggar Face New Legal Challenges in Arkansas

Legal Troubles for the Duggar Family

Kendra Duggar and her spouse Joseph Duggar are encountering increasing legal issues as fresh charges have been filed against them in Arkansas. This development adds to the serious allegations Joseph is already facing in Florida. According to the Tontitown Police Department, both Joseph, aged 31, and Kendra, 27, are charged with four counts each of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree false imprisonment in Washington County. These new charges are distinct and unrelated to Joseph's previous case in Florida.

Currently, Joseph Duggar is being held at the Washington County Detention Center due to the Florida allegations. He was arrested on March 18 for accusations related to lewd behavior and molestation of a minor under 12, stemming from an incident reported in 2020. Law enforcement officials attempted to serve an arrest warrant for Kendra at the Duggar family residence around 1 PM on March 20, but she was not present at that time. As of late Friday, there have been no updates regarding her booking status.

Following the announcement of charges against Kendra, social media platforms were abuzz with speculation about her arrest or whether she had surrendered to authorities. A Facebook post claimed, "27-year-old Kendra Duggar, wife of former reality star Joseph Duggar, turned herself in and is charged with four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment of a minor." Another user on X stated, "Kendra Duggar is now in custody." However, officials have not confirmed her arrest status at this time.

Authorities have indicated that while the Arkansas investigation is separate, it was initiated following new developments in the Florida case. The investigation is still active, and further details are being withheld due to the involvement of minor victims. Joseph Duggar's booking records indicate he is set to appear in court on April 29 at 2 PM in Elm Springs District Court regarding the Arkansas charges. The couple, married in 2017 and parents to four children, now faces multiple legal hurdles across two states as investigations proceed.
