Kejriwal Declares Innocence After Court Acquittal in Excise Policy Case
Kejriwal Speaks Out After Court Ruling
Former Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, addressed the media following his acquittal in the Delhi Excise Policy case. He emphasized that throughout the years, he has only earned integrity, not money. Kejriwal stated that the court's extensive 600-page order indicated a complete lack of evidence to pursue a case against him. He further accused Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah of orchestrating a conspiracy to dismantle the Aam Aadmi Party, insisting they owe the nation an apology.
Kejriwal Challenges Modi to Elections
Kejriwal boldly challenged Modi to hold elections in Delhi again, asserting that if the BJP secures more than ten seats, he would exit politics. In response to Congress's reaction to his acquittal, he questioned their integrity, asking why prominent Congress figures like Robert Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi have not faced similar legal consequences.
Court Acquits Kejriwal and Others
Earlier in the day, following his court acquittal, Kejriwal participated in a roadshow. A significant development occurred when a Delhi court cleared Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and 21 others in the politically charged excise policy case. The court criticized the CBI, stating that their case failed to withstand judicial scrutiny and was entirely discredited. Among those exonerated was K Kavitha, the president of Telangana Jagruthi.
