Situated beneath the majestic Kailash peaks, the historic Kartik Swami Temple, located at Bhukhar Dhar approximately 4 to 5 kilometers from Kugti village in the Bharmaur tehsil of Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, is set to reopen on April 14 (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. with traditional rituals.
In accordance with long-standing customs, the temple's doors are closed and reopened at specific times each year, a practice referred to locally as “Anderol Padna and Kholna.” This significant event attracts devotees from various regions who come to receive blessings from Lord Kartik Swami.
The temple committee has advised devotees against visiting on April 13, as there will be no overnight accommodations available. Pilgrims are encouraged to arrive on the morning of April 14 for darshan.
Devotees are also requested to uphold the temple's sanctity and work in harmony with the administration. Local authorities in Bharmaur have been asked to ensure a sufficient police presence to maintain order and ensure the event runs smoothly.
The temple priests express their gratitude in advance to all devotees and local community members for their support in making this auspicious event a success.
