Situated beneath the majestic Kailash peaks, the historic Kartik Swami Temple, located at Bhukhar Dhar approximately 4 to 5 kilometers from Kugti village in the Bharmaur tehsil of Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, is set to reopen on April 14 (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. with traditional rituals.


In accordance with long-standing customs, the temple's doors are closed and reopened at specific times each year, a practice referred to locally as “Anderol Padna and Kholna.” This significant event attracts devotees from various regions who come to receive blessings from Lord Kartik Swami.


The temple committee has advised devotees against visiting on April 13, as there will be no overnight accommodations available. Pilgrims are encouraged to arrive on the morning of April 14 for darshan.
