Controversial Remarks by Karnataka Minister

Bengaluru: A video featuring B.Z. Zameer Ahmad Khan, Karnataka's Minister for Housing and Waqf, has gone viral after he expressed his willingness to become a suicide bomber for India and infiltrate Pakistan with explosives to engage in warfare.

In a media interaction, Minister Zameer emphasized, "I have consistently stated: We are Indians, we are Hindustanis. We have no ties with Pakistan. I reiterate, we have no relationship with Pakistan. I am prepared to go to war if necessary. Even as a minister, if called to the battlefield, I am ready to fight against Pakistan."

"I will personally take to the battlefield for India. Let us all unite for our nation. If required, I will become a suicide bomber for India. This is not a statement made lightly or out of emotion. If the country needs it, I am willing to sacrifice myself as a suicide bomber," he further declared.

Minister Zameer went on to challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating, "Let them give me the chance to become a suicide bomber. I swear by Allah — I will strap explosives to my body and go to Pakistan."

His remarks have sparked significant attention and are being widely circulated on social media, receiving both support and criticism from various groups.

Zameer, a close ally of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, represents the Chamarajpet constituency in Bengaluru. He gained prominence in state politics with the backing of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and later switched from the JD(S) to the Congress party.

Previously, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah faced backlash for suggesting a peaceful approach towards Pakistan, a statement that drew national criticism and was reportedly covered by Pakistani media. Following the uproar, he clarified that he would not oppose military action against Pakistan if deemed necessary.
