While in Delhi, Shivakumar mentioned that he is not meeting anyone during this trip. He stated, "(Congress President) Mallikarjun Kharge is in Delhi. Rahul Gandhi arrived yesterday, and I do not wish to disturb them."

When questioned about the possibility of a change in the Chief Minister's position in Karnataka, Shivakumar told reporters, "The speculations exist only in the media. There are no discussions or rumors within the party or the government. It is solely the media that is speculating on these matters."
