Siddaramaiah's Anticipated Delhi Trip

All eyes are on Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as he prepares for his trip to Delhi to attend the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting. This gathering comes at a time when leadership issues are being discussed within the state, particularly with Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar's supporters eager to see him ascend to the role of Chief Minister soon.

Speaking to reporters in Davanagere about his upcoming trip, Siddaramaiah stated, 'I am heading to the CWC meeting today, as I do not travel to Delhi frequently.' Recently, he mentioned in the Karnataka Assembly that the party leadership seems to be in his favor, and he intends to complete his five-year term.

Before departing for the CWC meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge told reporters that all uncertainties would be clarified. Kharge remarked, 'I will discuss matters there. Why should I speak here?' On Wednesday, Shivakumar dismissed speculations regarding a potential leadership change in the state after Makar Sankranti, asserting that such discussions are merely media-driven and not reflective of the party or government.
