Deportation Orders Issued
Diphu, Dec 18: The Karbi Anglong district administration has taken action by issuing deportation orders for four individuals who have been classified as foreigners by the Foreigners' Tribunal (FT) in separate rulings from 2015 to 2023.
The individuals include Md Abas Khan, who was declared a foreigner on October 16, 2017, in FT Case No. 156/2010; Md Amir Uddin, identified as a foreigner on February 7, 2016, in FT Case No. 12/2010, both residing in Dudu Colony under Khatkhati Police Station; Md Mainul Hoque, a resident of Rang Nagar under Howraghat Police Station, who was declared a foreigner on November 8, 2023, in FT Case No. 123/2007; and Md Anuwar Ali, living in Purana Lahorijan under Khatkhati Police Station, who was declared a foreigner on January 3, 2015, in FT Case No. 108/2009.
Utilizing powers granted under Section 2 of the Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act, 1950, District Magistrate Nirola Phangchopi has mandated that these individuals must leave Assam and India within 24 hours of receiving the deportation orders. They are required to exit through the Dhubri, Sribhumi, or South Salmara-Mankachar routes.
The deportation orders emphasize that failure to comply will lead to enforced removal by the government, as their presence is deemed harmful to public safety and internal security.
The Senior Superintendent of Police in Karbi Anglong has been tasked with ensuring the enforcement of these orders and must provide a compliance report.
Furthermore, relevant authorities have been instructed to remove these individuals from electoral rolls, revoke their ration and Aadhaar cards, and exclude them from all government social security programs and benefits.
