As India gears up for a crucial Test series in England, Shubman Gill will lead the team, and former cricket legend Kapil Dev has offered his heartfelt wishes to both the captain and the squad on Wednesday.
In a statement made prior to the eagerly awaited tour, the ex-India captain expressed his pride and optimism regarding the team's prospects.
"We are extremely proud and wish them all the best. I hope they return victorious," remarked the 1983 World Cup-winning captain during an event.

Kapil also commented on Jasprit Bumrah, the star fast bowler who has opted out of the Test captaincy role.
Acknowledging Bumrah's choice, Kapil stated, "These are his personal views; for me, the team takes precedence."
The fourth-ranked Test team will compete without key players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who recently retired from Test cricket. Additionally, the squad will miss the expertise of off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who also stepped back from international play during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
