Mia Bieniemy, the wife of Eric Bieniemy, the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been hospitalized following an alleged shooting by their son at their residence in Virginia. Reports from a reputable sports network, citing law enforcement and sources close to the situation, indicate that the 57-year-old is currently in stable condition after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that a woman is receiving treatment for serious injuries but has not disclosed her identity.

Their son, 27-year-old Elijah Zion Bieniemy, has been taken into custody and faces charges including malicious wounding, firearm use during a felony, and discharging a firearm within a dwelling. He is currently being held without bail at a detention center in Loudoun County. Authorities responded to a shooting report at approximately 7:32 PM local time on Sunday at a residence located on Northpark Drive in Ashburn, Virginia.

Following the incident, Eric Bieniemy left the Chiefs' training camp and missed practice on Monday. He had participated in the team's training session on Sunday at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.
