In celebration of the International Day of Clean Air, Kangra Valley Senior Secondary School in Dharamshala held an informative seminar themed “Clean Air, Pollution and Health.” The event aimed to enlighten students about the detrimental effects of air pollution and the necessity of fostering a clean and healthy environment.


The seminar featured presentations from Mrs. Satvinder Kaur, a Scientific Officer, Dr. Ajay Kumar, a Junior Scientific Officer, and Mr. Pawan Thakur, a Lab Assistant, all representing the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board. They shared crucial information regarding the primary sources of air pollution, its effects on health, and practical strategies to mitigate pollution.


Students from Classes 10, 11, and 12 actively engaged in the seminar, with speakers motivating them to take initiative in preserving clean air and promoting environmental awareness within their communities.


Mr. Kapil Walia, the School Principal, along with other faculty members, attended the event. He highlighted the importance of clean air for health and the well-being of future generations. The Principal called on everyone to contribute to pollution reduction efforts and to protect the environment.
