Dharamshala: The Kangra District Bar Association has expressed sincere gratitude to Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, for the pivotal decision to relocate the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) office from Shimla to Dharamshala.
In a statement released on Sunday, Advocate Ankur Soni, the President of the Kangra District Bar Association, praised this initiative as a forward-thinking and community-focused action that will bring essential real estate regulatory services closer to residents in lower Himachal. He stated, “This decision will greatly improve accessibility, simplify regulatory processes, and foster comprehensive development in the Kangra area.”
The Association highlighted that this relocation signifies an important step towards decentralizing governance, ensuring that real estate regulation is not confined by geographical limitations. With the RERA office now situated in Dharamshala, local residents, developers, and legal experts will experience quicker service delivery, less travel hassle, and enhanced administrative efficiency.
“This initiative showcases the government’s dedication to fair development and transparent governance,” the statement continued, commending the Chief Minister’s visionary leadership and proactive stance in fulfilling the region's long-standing requests.
The Bar Association also conveyed hope for additional administrative reforms in the area, stating, “We anticipate that the establishment of the Administrative Tribunal will lead to a permanent bench being set up in Dharamshala soon.”
Advocate Soni emphasized that this decision will have a significant impact not only on the legal and real estate sectors but also on ordinary citizens, who will now find it easier to access regulatory services closer to their homes.
In conclusion, the Kangra District Bar Association reiterated its strong support for the government’s initiative, labeling it a crucial move towards achieving balanced regional development throughout Himachal Pradesh.
