Ranjit Thakur, the Project Coordinator, shared that the demarcation and measurement activities are currently in progress to pinpoint the land designated for acquisition.

Thakur further explained that teams from the revenue department are concurrently working to verify any missing khasra numbers, assess house boundaries, and tally the number of trees on the land slated for acquisition. Detailed records are being compiled on-site, which include khasra numbers, possession details, house sizes, and counts of both fruit-bearing and timber trees.

This expedited survey is designed to ensure precise documentation, facilitating the seamless advancement of the airport expansion initiative. The project is anticipated to significantly improve regional connectivity, thereby enhancing tourism and stimulating economic growth in the Kangra district.
