Kangra Airport Environmental Management Meeting

A meeting aimed at managing environmental concerns at Kangra Airport was held, presided over by Shri Vinay Kumar (IAS), the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kangra.

The gathering included the Airport Director, the SDM of Kangra, and officials from various departments such as Health, Animal Husbandry, Forest, and Food Safety. Representatives from the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board, Gaggal Police, and local gram panchayat leaders were also present.

The main agenda of the meeting was to enhance aircraft safety by effectively managing bird-related hazards and ensuring a clean and secure airport environment. The discussion emphasized the importance of preventing waste dumping, implementing scientific waste disposal methods, and improving collaboration among all relevant departments and local authorities.

Attendees were encouraged to keep their areas clean, cease open waste disposal practices, and foster public awareness. Officials stressed that a united effort is crucial for ensuring aviation safety and promoting a healthier environment around Kangra Airport.
